The Movement

In light of the news of Cesar Chavez’ predatory behavior, I was brought to remember that the work was always about the farm worker. My mom called to share her disbelief about the news, and how she was sad to think what her mom would think. Her mom, my grandma, was a farm worker who went to UFW rallies. These are photos of farm workers in Delano and the Coechella Valley I took for the UFW Foundation. The third is a photo fo my grandparents, Jose and Elena Gonzalez — two farm workers.
